Questions about integrations
Do I need a DataForSEO or SerpApi account to track rankings?
Yes. Rank positions come only from DataForSEO or SerpApi, connected with your own account. bisibility does not scrape Google, and Search Console, GA4 and Plausible never set rank positions.
What does it cost to connect a provider?
The provider bills you, not bisibility. DataForSEO gives new accounts a $1 trial credit, then asks for a $50 minimum top-up: a prepaid balance, not a monthly fee. SerpApi has a free plan with 250 searches a month; deeper rank checks use several searches.
What does DataForSEO power that SerpApi does not?
DataForSEO powers rank tracking, keyword research, domain overview and backlinks. SerpApi powers Google rank tracking only. With either provider, every rank check stores a SERP snapshot, so SERP history works with both.
What happens when a SERP provider fails or hits its limit?
The next active provider in your fallback order runs the check. Each provider can have two monthly budgets: one for the app and schedules, one for the API, MCP and SDK. When one runs out, only its checks pause until next month.
What access does bisibility get to Search Console and GA4?
Read-only. bisibility can read Search Console and Google Analytics 4 data but never write it or submit sitemaps.
