Self-hosted SEO software runs in infrastructure you control, so data and credentials stay inside your deployment.

Definition

Self-hosting helps when search data is sensitive, client-owned, or needs to join internal reports.

The tradeoff is responsibility. You own uptime, backups, secrets, and provider setup.
